Erectile dysfunction (ED) - a problem very delicate. At times the fact of that there were symptoms ED, causes fear. The campaign to the doctor becomes complicated uncertainty that will occur on reception. I shall try to dispell a few fears, having told as there is an inspection at erectile dysfunction.

For statement of the diagnosis the doctor should make the case record, inspect and, probably, you should hand over the analysis of blood. Drawing up of the case record includes set of questions which it is necessary to answer as it is possible more fairly even if it will cause awkwardness.

Survey
As passes survey. First of all the doctor will ask you about the transferred diseases. Whether there are no among them what can cause erectile dysfunction. For example, a high blood pressure, illnesses of a liver or kidneys, intimate diseases, problems with a thyroid gland or neurologic diseases.

You can direct to hand over the analysis of blood on definition:

• sugar of blood (revealing of a diabetes) level of cholesterol (revealing of increase of a level of cholesterol)
• hormones: testosterone if it is necessary hormones of a thyroid gland.

The low level testosterone also can cause a weak sexual inclination and then replaceable therapy is appointed. Unfortunately, it will not cure illness, but essentially will help with treatment. Discuss with the doctor about what a level at you testosterone and that it means.

How passes directly survey?
The doctor, most likely, will lead full survey of the patient, namely:

• Pressure and pulse with the purpose to reveal possible cardiovascular problems
• Survey of a head and a neck for check of a thyroid gland, lymph nodes and eyes
• The thorax for check of work of lungs and hearts.
• Stomach to check up a liver and kidneys
• Genitals for revealing possible problems with a penis or testicle and for check of other sexual attributes, for example, hair on pubes.
• Sensitivity of a penis and reflexes.

What will be then?
The Case record is made, survey is lead, now it will be a question of methods of treatment and, probably, recommendations on change of a way of life. It is desirable, that your partner too was present. Treatment will be more effective if you and your partner will understand a problem and together to work above its decision.
